In the Fall of 2012, BBB solicited nominations for the 2013 Torch Award for Ethical Commerce and the response was overwhelming. “BBB received over 250 nominations! Those businesses received an Entry Packet to be completed and it was no easy task. They were asked to respond to numerous questions and provide backup documentation. The completed Entry Packets were reviewed by an independent panel of Judges – there, the decisions were made determining the Finalists and Recipients for the 2013 Torch Award for Ethical Commerce”, stated Kathleen Calligan, President & CEO of the BBB Middle Tennessee.
“While Middle Tennessee has proven to be home to so many great companies operating with high character, these four BBB Torch Award for Ethical Commerce recipients clearly demonstrated with their entries superior character on a daily basis, and consistently exceed marketplace standards for ethics in their relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, industry peers and the communities in which they do business,” said Calligan.
