Extreme Clean of Tennessee - BBB Rating: F
615.924.2035 – 5331 Mt. View Rd., Antioch, TN
Consumers have alerted BBB of this company’s practice of selling home and office “deep-cleaning” service via LivingSocial and other online group coupon offers and then failing to honor their commitment. Complaints state that the company is difficult to reach to schedule cleanings, and if a consumer is successful in scheduling service, the service is disappointing and ineffectual or the company fails to show up for the appointment. Extreme Clean’s duck-and-cover tactics when it’s time to provide their service is dirty business.
The Greek Spot, LLC – BBB Rating: F
615.738.6603 – 4636 Lebanon Pike, PMB 375, Hermitage, TN
Looking for some new apparel to show your support for your school fraternity or sorority? The Greek Spot offers a unique selection of items that will boost your ego and support your brother/sisterhood, but don’t act too fast! Complaints on file with BBB allege failure of The Greek Spot to deliver ordered merchandise as promised. Customers allege they provided the company with payment in full for ordered merchandise; however, the product never arrived. All complaints on file with BBB request either delivery of the product or a full refund, but the company has ignored their customer’s pleas.
The Lady Smokes – BBB Rating: F
888.867.3857 – 6680 Pinewood Rd, Nunnelly, TN
This company offers the sale of decorative cigar and cigarette holders and cases. Complaints state that after paying up front for merchandise from their online storefront, the products are never received, and repeated requests for assistance are ignored. BBB has been unable to elicit a company response as well, and complaints remain unanswered. These customers’ hard-earned money appears to have gone up in smoke.
Direct Tech Appliance Repair – BBB Rating: F
615.882.9996 – 3104 Jonesboro Dr., Nashville, TN
Consumers who relied on Direct Tech Appliance Repair to service their appliances are left high and dry according to complaints on file with BBB. Complainants allege after contacting their home warranty company for assistance with a malfunctioning appliance, the warranty company sends Direct Tech to make repairs. However, consumers indicate that the company fails to honor scheduled appointments or return phone calls. Upon diagnosing and “repairing” the problem for scheduled appointments that were honored, consumers report that the unit still does not work and the company refuses to refund the consumers’ money. Although the company’s website claims “we make sure the Customer is always satisfied with our quality work,” complaints on file with BBB indicate otherwise.
ISN, Inc. AKA Intelligent Savings Network – BBB Rating: F
615.360.5997 – PO Box 17719, Nashville, TN
This office supply company allegedly operates by sending unordered boxes of office supplies to unsuspecting businesses around the country. The trick to this scheme is company representatives contact victims asking for the name of the company’s office supply person. The scammer then calls the victim again to place an order supposedly “approved” by the person whose name they’d obtained in the first call. In another twist, ISN representatives misrepresent price and quantity of items, placing orders for “gross” quantities rather than the single quantity victims think they are ordering. When the supplies arrive, the victim either assumes the order had been approved and pays the accompanying invoice (whi ch has reportedly been as high as $12,000.00) or, realizing they’d been scammed, attempts to contact the company to return the items with no response. Guess this company isn’t the most “intelligent savings network” after all.
